As his reputation increases the demand for his work grows ever stronger with Josh contributing on a wealth of high profile campaigns and editorial features in leading international publications. Josh was recently announced as a hair columnist for The Sunday Times Style Magazine, alongside his role as Contributing Beauty Director at PonyStep, the bi-annual East London fashion tome.
September 2011 saw Josh embark on a new phase of his career with the launch of the Atelier in Notting Hill. The Atelier is a creative hub for Wood and his dream team of colourists, stylists and beauty therapists and is an ever-evolving space with art collaborations and an interior to reflect its ‘anti-salon' ethic. In September 2012, Wood and his team went on to launch Atelier Liberty LAB – the first salon to be housed in the much loved iconic London department store.
2014 kicked off with a bang as Josh simultaneously launched his beauty emporium, Atelier Beauté alongside his exclusive collaboration with M&S Beauty. Combining a power house of beauty experts all under one discreet roof, Josh says of Atelier Beauté “What I wanted to do was create a ‘house of experts'. “Somewhere people could hand themselves over to the very best in the world.” So Josh called on the “great and the good” to be in residence to offer his coterie of clients an army of experts.
Shortly following this, the Josh Wood “Guardian of Colour” range launched nationwide in M&S, giving customers an opportunity to use salon quality products in the comfort of their own home. Bringing his years of expertise in colour to M&S Beauty, Josh Wood introduces a complete collection of care and colour solutions, expertly targeted to deliver results for each specific hair need. Hair is left soft, glossy and rich in reflective multi-dimensional colour, natural and glamorous.
Josh continues to work across his two Ateliers, nurturing the next generation of stylists and colourists and using his incredible talent to colour his coterie of clients. When not in London, Josh is travelling the globe to tend to his international clients and direct the ever-evolving landscape of colour in his role as GCD for Wella Professionals.
