Nada asks:
I have thick curly hair, so I wanted to know what is the best way to get my hair straightened by a professional hairdresser? Is it yoku??

Nada - Yuko is a great straightener, so is a professional line called Rusk. I have used many during my career and other than yuko, I would recommend Rusk. Try a strand test first before you straighten all of your hair. Good Luck.

Jennifer asks:
I went to a salon to cut and tone down red tones. The stylist claimed that she would relax my hair with such a gentle straightener that she could dye it right after. I ended up with raw spots and blisters all over my scalp, light brown roots and (still) curly hair! How can I fix this? Note: I have bad dandruff and I just want to get rid of the red color and loosen my curl.

Jennifer - I am sorry about your bad experience at the salon. I suggest the following.
1. Do not process your hair until your scalp is back to normal.
2. After your scalp is back to normal, then you can consider coloring.
Good Luck

Jen asks:
I have naturally curly/wavy dry hair. But I got them rebonded 1 year back. Now I am getting back my wavy hair back in the roots. I do not want to rebond my hair again. Please can you tell me how to undo the rebonding without any chemicals so I can get my wavy hair back at the earliest.

Jen - The only thing that I can suggest is to do a series of deep conditioning treatments with heat. This will open your hair some and hopefully undo the bonding. Good Luck.
