Abbey asks:
I wear my hair up constantly in the same style because nothing else suits me. I no that it is causing me long term damage but what can I do?

Of course there are styles that will suit you - if your hair looks okay up, then it can look amazing if its cut well and to suit your hair and shaped face. You obviously have not found the right hairdresser to instill you with confidence to go for a total change. Take a look on the Style Gallery print a few off and take them along to the Salon. Then find a great hairdresser to discuss this with - find someone who will spend time working it out with you.

Donít be scarred - go for it.

Vicki asks:
I have a very round face and quite voluminous wavy hair. I would really like to have a short layered crop but Iím not sure whether this would be right for my face shape or whether it would work with the body that my hair has?

Yes this could work well provided you keep the sides short and close and have slightly longer layers and texture through the top - this would create the illusion of an oval shaped face. Also donít worry about the wave, as wavy hair is far better than straight hair when you go short. Just make sure you have great colour to really show it off.

Livvie asks:
My hair is naturally curly and I really want it straight. So I straighten it every morning and I use TreSemme heat protecting spray before I straighten my hair. It turns out okay but it only lasts about an hour then it goes wavy. How can I keep it straight for longer? By the way when I blow dry my hair it turns into a big bush of frizz and it becomes really unmanageable. The back of my hair is neck height and the front just touching my shoulders.

It sounds to me that your hair is extremely curly and frizzy, which is why it doesn't last no matter how much you straighten it. There are 2 alternatives - go and have a consultation with a salon that specialises is the Yuko System (permanent hair straightening) it is a fantastic permanent straightening service - this can only be done on the right hair and it must not have any colour on it. The other alternative is to work with your hair instead of against it. Have a total restyle using your natural wave - If you continue to straighten your hair daily it will eventually break off anyway.
