Kathryn asks:
I am 18 and have coloured medium brown extra long hair which is not thick or thin, its in between and I want something different. I would like to go ash blonde with caramel foils underneath, but I do not want to look like Barbie. What else could I do and would stripping my hair be very damaging. I there another way?

It all depends on the condition of your hair, before you put any colour in the hair make sure that you condition and moisturise your hair. The prior preparation of the hair it is very important for us before any colouring service try J. F. Lazartigues moisturising mask, a great product. As for hair colour if the condition is ok and your hairdresser agrees with it, GO FOR IT !!

Estelle asks:
I had a wavy perm put in my hair about 5 weeks ago and now it looks horrible can I get rid of it? I was thinking of making my hair a tone lighter as well is that ok?

The process is very easy though you must seek professional help. Also you must make sure that you condition and moisturise the hair after the process I would also suggest moisturising mask from J.F. Lazartigue
Good Luck

Lori asks:
I have had bleached blonde (almost white) hair for a couple of years now. Fancying a change, I put a semi permanent dark brown in, and I hate it! I really want to go back to blonde. I've noticed that Kelly Osbourne and Christina Aguilera have magically managed to go to very blonde from very dark. I know that I'm going to need to go to a colorist (although I'm a hairdresser myself, this is to big a job!) - What I want to know is, what are the chances that I am only going to need to visit once? I cannot really afford to make indefinite appointments!

As a hairdresser, you will know this is not an easy colour change! Kelly and Christina sometimes use hair extensions for their extreme colour change which means they can change colour very easily. The important thing with drastic colour change is to make sure your hair is in excellent condition so ensure you use a deep conditioning mask at least twice a week prior to the colour change and afterwards too. As you have said, this change should only be undertaken by an experienced colourist. It may be that they decide to remove the colour completely and then start again or they may want to do the colour change gradually with a few visits. It is hard to say without seeing you, so I would suggest you visit a salon for a consultation and they should be able to advice the best way to return to your previous blonde style.
