Nicky asks:
I straighten my hair regularly as its frizzy and then put it in a pony and it looks and stays straight. But if I wear my hair down it stays straight but still looks thick. I was wondering if layers would make my hair look thinner as I would like to wear my hair down more often.

You should have some weight taken out and also the idea of layers its very good as long as they are long layers as short ones could give you the opposite result

Mark asks:
I am 46 and bald with short grey hair at the sides. I want to colour the grey hair but it is thin and I do not want to stain my scalp in the process. Can you advise me on products that would colour my hair but not stain my scalp.

Any colour you use could stain your scalp which is why I would suggest that you have your hair coloured in a salon to ensure a good result.

Beth asks:
I am a girl and I shaved my sideburns but I want my natural ones back, I cannot wear my hair up because it looks a mess. What should I do?

Why did you decide to shave your side burns? Did you not use to wear your hair up before? I think it is important that you decide whether you like your side burns or not, because this will impact on how you continue to treat them. Unless you have had your side burns permanently removed, the usual re-growth cycle should be every 5-6 weeks. It really depends on how quickly your hair grows. Perhaps you could get some advice from a beautician who does facial waxing, she might be able to give them a nicer shape if you are unhappy with them or thin them out if you think they are too thick. I suggest you continue to wear your hair down until they grow back.
