Bernice asks:
I am in my fifties and have had coloured hair for a long time should I aim to go back to brown with highlights

Hair colouring and styling are very personal to you. If there are no real side effects as a result of you colouring your hair (such as thinning or hair loss), then if you enjoy it and it makes you feel better, then my advice is to continue.

Your hair is a part of your beauty, enjoy every moment of it.

Kiran asks:
I have thin straight shoulder length hair which is layered. I would like to get a perm that gives my hair more volume .Is it ok to do so and if so what kind and length should I have to get one. Also I am from India with a wheatish complexion. If you could please suggest a suitable style, badly need to change it.

If your hair is fine you will need to be careful with a perm. Make sure that your stylist does a porosity and elasticity test before perming. An acid perm might be your best option as it will be gentler on your hair. Your style will depend on your face shape. The best thing to do is to do find a picture of something that you like, take it to your stylist and ask them if it will suit you. If not how they can adapt the style to suit your face.

Nikki patel asks:
I put coconut oil in my hair and ever since then whenever I wash it, it gets greasy again within a day. It looks as though someone has tipped a bucket of oil on my head.

Coconut oil is very rich. Whenever you apply oil to the hair the best way to remove it is to apply shampoo to the hair before the water. Oil and Water do not mix, so you will need to use the shampoo first to emulsify the oil, once you have done this you can rinse out and then shampoo again as normal.
