Laura asks:
My natural hair colour is a light golden brown. For years I have been dying my hair a chocolate brown. However, recently it has become very dark and has made me look washed out. I was told to put a red tint in it to warm it up but this has not done very much. I have decided to go back to my natural colour but do not know the best way to go about this. I always thought colour stripping was extreme. I asked a hair professional and was told to use head and shoulders as this strips hair colour, but at this rate I will still be using it this time next year as it is having little effect. Is it possible to dye over my colour or should I take the plunge and get it stripped? I do not want lighter brown highlights in it as I was hoping to have something near my natural colour and perhaps some blonde highlights. Hope you can help!

I have two solutions:

A Have your hair striped with a product called Modullat this will get rid of most of the unwanted dark tones with the minimal damage. ...More >

B Have blonde High Lights put in now, the colour will make you immediately appear much lighter.

Whatever your choice, you will still having to moisturise your hair try the J F Lazartigue moisturising range

Emma asks:
I am looking to buy some clip in hair extensions, but am confused as I do not know what ones are the best. I have noticed that some have lots of very small clips attached and some have a larger clip. Which is the best? Can you recommend any that would hold easily and stay in place, that are not too expensive?

Clip in hair extensions are a hit and miss product at the moment. Sometimes there can be a great difference with getting fantastic looking clip attachments that work but the hair is of poor quality, or you can get good quality hair and the clips do not work properly. I personally think that the best ones are the ones that are made up specifically for you by a properly trained consultant. This would involve the correct hair colour match, length and blend, with professional toupee clips placed in the right directions to match your head size and shape. Some of our consultants can help prepare a customised hair extension clip in for yourself.

Zana asks:
My normal hair colour is dark brown. I have dyed it several times. Often with mahogany colours. Now my hair colour is a mix between mahogany and dark brown. The thing is, my eye brows are very dark (almost black) and I was thinking of dying my hair dark brown (maybe almost black, or blue black?) Do you think that is a good idea?

Well if your eye brows are dark then it should suit you. Maybe try a very dark brown first and take it in stages.
