Cindy asks:
My husband is returning from Iraq I have lost 60+ pounds since he has seen me I want to wow him with new hair. It is shoulder length (all one length) dark brown now. I have a lot of hair (thick) should I go with layers? I have a natural wave that I straighten out and my hair tends to part in the middle which I hate! I want something wow new not like going dark brown to shocking blonde omg but like stunning wow! My hair is natural colour I have had highlights once many years ago but they have all been cut out now!

Wow Cindy - 60lbs ....Well done !!!..... Sounds like you have a great body to your hair too, make the waves work for you, and get some layers in it and for the colour keep it natural with just a few highlights, just go for it and make him a happy man..........wink.

Helga asks:
My hair is dry, what can I do to make it look nice and shiny?

You might want to think of warming up your colour to start with and make sure you’re using a great shampoo and a conditioner all the time, this will all help with your shine problem.

Rosa asks:
I am 16 years old and have recently finished chemotherapy in August this year. My hair is only about an inch long now and I still wear a wig. I am desperate for longer hair and am too self conscious to go out with the short hair I currently have. Do you have any advice on increasing hair growth and I also wondered if you thought a weave would be a good idea as I have fine blonde hair. I would like something that looked natural so did not think extensions would be a good idea. Any advice?

I hope you are on the mend and getting stronger each day. Your body has just been through a traumatic time to say the least. The healing process will be slow and this will be reflected in your hair growth. ...More >

I think it is a good idea to keep wearing a wig until your hair is at least shoulder length.

I do not think that now is the time to introduce intricate hair extension techniques to your new growth as this will add too much stress initially to the hair folicles.

Once your hair has grown back to shoulder length, I would recommend the micro ring track technique. This evenly distributes the hair extensions around your head, the technique is flate and not detectable. This would be much kinder to your hair and will encourage it to grow.
