Helena asks:
I am getting married in May, my hair is Strawberry Blonde or Ginger! But very fine and I want to wear it loose and curly. Should I go for natural curl or tonged for definition? Also do you think it would look too false with a hairpiece adding more fullness?

As a fellow redhead there is no holding back on your crowning glory. If your wedding is bohemian and casual you could use the natural curl in your hair to go with the vibe. Using small fresh flowers will finish off the look. If your style is more dramatic go for a more finished look. Instead of using regular tongs try straighteners twisted down the hair for a modern take. False hair is great. Just find a great hairdresser that can put it in for you so you feel really confident. Have a trial to see how you feel.

Good luck

Lisa asks:
I recently went to my local salon and asked for a darker shade of brown but with red tones (I am naturally mousey brown). The colour I actually got was red. I went back as I was not happy with it as the colour was just not me and they neutralised the colour. My hair is now a very dark brown even black. I prefer it to the red but still hate it. Ideally I would like to go for a lighter brown and then eventually my natural colour. I cannot wait for it to grow out as I dislike it that much. I will be going back to a salon and would never attempt anything myself but would be grateful for your expert advice on what options I have.

To achieve the colour you want I would recommend going to your colour technician for a consultation to discuss a colour correction. This would involve lifting your hair colour by one shade to eliminate the current extremely dark look. Following this, have a semi permanent colour applied in a golden brown tone which is one shade darker than your natural colour as this will help to accent your natural colouring and take you away from the reddish hues.

Cindy asks:
My husband is returning from Iraq I have lost 60+ pounds since he has seen me I want to wow him with new hair. It is shoulder length (all one length) dark brown now. I have a lot of hair (thick) should I go with layers? I have a natural wave that I straighten out and my hair tends to part in the middle which I hate! I want something wow new not like going dark brown to shocking blonde omg but like stunning wow! My hair is natural colour I have had highlights once many years ago but they have all been cut out now!

Wow Cindy - 60lbs ....Well done !!!..... Sounds like you have a great body to your hair too, make the waves work for you, and get some layers in it and for the colour keep it natural with just a few highlights, just go for it and make him a happy man..........wink.
