Fiona asks:
I have dark brown hair and have been highlighting for years. The last time I got it done the hairdresser ruined it by using something called magi meche which made my hair look yellowy blonde. I would now like to get some lowlights through it and was wondering what colours you could suggest?

It isnít the magi meche that made your hair yellow. It would have been either the development time needed to be longer or a more ashen tone is needed. You have two choices at your hair salon, either have an intense ashen tone in your highlights or if your hair is quite dark with a lot of natural warmth then you could have your hair bleached first and then toned. You may still need a toner through your hair a few weeks after you have had your colour done so that the yellow tones donít come back!

Trudy asks:
How long does it take hair to grow back thick after getting it thinned out

This will all depend on how quick your hair tends to grow, everybodyís hair will be different.

Anne asks:
At 55 my coarse hair is now limp and unmanageable but just as thick. Even my daughter who is a Hairdresser cannot do anything with it. Can you suggest anything?

I would suggest (if you have not already tried) firstly investing in an intensive conditioning treatment at least every fortnight to try and reduce the coarseness. ...More >

Secondly perhaps try having your hair thinned out with either thinning scissors or a feather blade. This will help reduce the thickness in your hair but at the same time retaining the style and length.

Hope this helps.
