Hi Warren, Iíve been told itís best for styling my hair if I wash it every day, is this true?

NO WAY! Hair works better when itís a little dirtier. The day after a wash is perfect. For hair ups they work better when the hair has some grit and resistance created by the natural oils. Think of it this way, when we are adding product into hair to blow dry we are essentially changing it from its natural virgin state...you could interpret this as making it Ďdirtyí.

Cecille asks:
Growing up, I had straight hair. I donít know what happened because now I have curly frizzy hair. Recently, I just gave birth, and it seems that my hair has no life at all. Iím wondering if I go shave my hair, would it grow back full of life and straight again?

I think that shaving your hair off is a little drastic and to be honest is not necessary. Your hair texture can change throughout life and in particular pre and post pregnancy, and unfortunately there is not much you can do about this.

What I would suggest is booking a Wella Alchemy Treatment at your nearest Wella stockists as this treatment will help restore your hair condition for you. I would also advise having your hair cut into a shorter more manageable style providing it suits your face shape and you are comfortable with this.

Rachel asks:
Over the last 7 years I have been having Lou colour (demi) to cover my grey hair. In March I was suddenly came out in a terrible allergic reaction to a food I ate (never had it before). The extreme breathing issues are much improved but I am ridiculously sensitive to everything including hair colour. I am thinking of having low light by foil but to be honest even with a skin test I am terrified of a serious reaction. After searching the web for months this seems to be a really big issue for a lot of women. Can you suggest any type of maybe colour wash to cover the grey? I donít mind washing it in each week? I have tried colour mousse but guess what - allergic!

It sounds like most colour that contains ammonia is causing a problem try looking for organic colours these may be a big help COLOUR EMULSION FOR GREY HAIR Colour Emulsion is a permanent colour- ammonia and peroxide free. It covers up to 100% grey hair. Based on an algae compound, the emulsion acts by coating of the hair shaft, leaving a glossy protecting film Colour Emulsion has no lightening power, it does not contain any ammonia or peroxide.
