Katrina Li asks:
I have very dark, straight thick hair and a oval face shape. I would like a trendy, choppy and heavily layered style. But so far I have not got what I want from the hairdressers. Could you offer me any advice?

The best thing to do is tear some pictures from a couple of magazines or have a look on the style gallery at ukhairdressers print them off and take them along to the salon next time you visit. That way your hairdresser will know what you want.

Sarah asks:

Try more layering through your hair think Sarah Jessica Parker. Her hair is very thick but she has an interesting medium length cut with a long fringe detail. Her layers are long enough to smooth and tuck behind hers ears. Try this.

LeAnn asks:
I have short hair and would like to grow it to a short bob (ear length), but can never get past the awkward, in-between stage. I usually have my hair trimmed every 3-4 weeks. Suggestions?

That period of growing your hair is really awful, but just think how great your hair will be when you grow it! Try to only have your hair cut every 5/6 weeks you will then feel you are getting somewhere. Fortunately the style this season is quite a mess
