Would both of my daughters (one 11 and one 12) look good with a pixie cut? One has brown hair, and the other blonde. They want their hair like Miley Cyrus! Generally, like a pixie cut but one of them wants their bangs swooped over to the side and the other one wants short hair on the sides and her bangs on the shorter side but still being able to pin them up! Thank you so much!!
Look forward to putting your response on the site,

The pixie cut is very popular with tweeners so the answer is yes!!
This age is an ideal time to experiment on styles to get used to finding out what suits their face shape and personality etc. It also helps avoid making a drastic hair style change when older (we all know how that can go!) and its fun ...More >
In Reference to Miley Cyrus ... her particular style is VERY short on her temples and nape so I would suggest some thing a bit longer, still shaped over ears and nape , but not necessarily buzz cut(as hers is ) You didnít say if your girls hair was straight, curly , thick , fine ? all of the mentioned can have a pixie cut tailored to hair type . Re the long Side fringe(bangs) the fringe should be a graduated cut chipped into. A good guide for length is for the start to be on eyebrow and the end just long enough to hook over ear ..
The shorter fringe should be layered and although still asymmetric not so steep.. I suggest you look on the hairstyle finder tab on this site ..there are lots of variations and you can have a bit of this, and a bit of that, makes it more individual for your girls.
They can play around with products too and clips sleeking it back, funking it up and pinning the sides to mention a few options .
Hope they love their new haircuts ....

My hair is frizzy and curly. There is a lot of it, and itís quite thick. Currently I am growing it out from a pixie cute, itís not yet past my ears. I have tried a lot of things to control the frizz, and while it was short I had few problems. But now itís impossible! how can I remove the insane volume and frizz without losing the wave in my hair?

The Nano-Keratin anti-frizz blowdry is amazing! I have thick curly hair myself and it just makes my life so much easier. Itís a keratin-based treatment which is what is missing from the cortex of your hair (causing the frizz) so itíll make drying your hair simple and quick (and completely frizz-free) and it lasts up to 12 weeks.
When growing out your hair you will get to stage where it can just drive you crazy and it sounds like youíre at this stage so I would definitely recommend having this treatment once your hair gets past your ears for the best results.

My hair is a long bob with a thick blunt fringe and I usually wear it straight, I am bored with it at the moment but am trying to grow it long. I have got lots of work events over the next month that are really glam - would you be able to give me a couple of tips or ideas of ways that I can dress my hair up. I will be wearing cocktail dresses, am in my early 30ís and need to dress to impress but still look professional for my clients.

There are so many thing you could do with your hair, the list is endless.
Itís so easy to fall into a comfortable habit with your hair, so depending on where your parting would usually be, why donít you consider moving the line to a new position? Hold your new parting in place by blow drying heat protection and mousse into your damp hair. Now your hair is prepped, ready to create beautiful soft waves. Leave your fringe as it is and tong your hair by taking small vertical sections at a time, this angle will allow the hair to drop softly around the face instead of creating a deep wave, twisting the hair as you work your way around the tong will loosen the wave even further. Work in neat section, all in the same direction from the front to back of the head on both sides, this will create a beautiful soft wave that would grace any red carpet. The mousse in the hair will give you that extra hold to last for the whole day. ...More >
You now have two options depending on how creative you are feeling. Either brush your hair through with a vent brush adding a drop of serum for that additional shine and control, you want your hair to shimmer and enhance the waves. What you will have is a beautiful coiffured classic meets modern 30s inspires wave that will turn heads.
For a different look, back comb the whole head starting from your parting, working you way backwards. Gently brush hair out and tease into a messy beehive, donít go too high, keep the look elegant and young. Pin up at the back and soften the look by leaving fine strands floating in the air. Another look that will seem effortless and will stay all day with a good passing of hair spray.
Two looks that will carry you through your day from the office to your business events.
