Hi, I have just stopped dyeing my hair after 16 years. I shaved down to a zero guard which I made a mistake doing. My hair is a lot whiter than I expected and with the scalp on my head being even whiter it just looks ridiculous. Can you offer any advice on what to do, in some light my hair seems to glow silver and looks fine in other light. I donít want to dye again but feel I might need to and wait until next summer before shaving my head and getting a bit of colour on the scalp ? Thanks in advance

Welcome to reality lol. Youíve been colouring your hair for a long period with out realising the hair has changed. Your hair is whiter Ė Some times this can make the hair look silver, which can be cool and also slightly more transparent Ė especially since youíre cutting your hair short. Choices are to enjoy your natural hair colour, and consider not cutting the hair so short. The hair will look thicker, or you colour your hair a more natural colour, shade, to soften the silver and or grey hair. Keep in mind your hair has changed, in density, texture and natural colour, as well as your skin colour etc., itís time for a change and to embrace a bit more of your natural.
I recommend you consult a professional colourist and hair stylist - so they can help formulate a plan to your new look.

Hi my name is Salman and I am an 18 year old Indian guy. Actually Iíve never grown my hair out completely because I felt like it looked somewhat like an Afro. I was just wondering if I can still grow some silky long hair? And if so what products can I use and how do I make my hair look silky and flexible as my hair currently is very thick and prickly like? Please recommend some products and directions to growing out long hair. Thank you so much

Hi Salman, Firstly you must use moisturising shampoo and conditioner, make sure you leave the conditioner on for a few minutes and comb through before rinsing. This will help soften your hair and make it look shiny. I would also suggest perhaps having your hair relaxed as this will make it look longer and feel softer immediately. Good luck

I am desperate for an expert advice. I have thin hair because my last hairstylist "texturized" my hair which i really hate! I like my hair with volume and thickness. Anyway my hair right now is medium cut but I donít think it suits me . I have LONG FACE AND SQUARE JAW and I donít know what to do! I am thinking of getting a one length hair style like a bob cut but I am not sure, can you please help ?

Hi Jane, The beauty of hair is that it grows, so this isnít forever. Firstly go through pictures of yourself where you liked how your hair looked- a good place to start. Be honest with yourself and ask close friends to give you advice. When you have decided what to do, visit a new recommended hairstylist and show them your images. Bring along other pictures from the internet too and try to be bold. Have a free consultation and see if they understand what you are trying to achieve and whether it is realistic. Look at colour too as this can really give the illusion of thicker/ voluminous hair.
Everything will be alright! Add a smile-you canít go wrong. Charlotte
