How long does it take hair to grow back thick after getting it thinned out

This will all depend on how quick your hair tends to grow, everybody’s hair will be different.

Anne asks:
At 55 my coarse hair is now limp and unmanageable but just as thick. Even my daughter who is a Hairdresser cannot do anything with it. Can you suggest anything?

I would suggest (if you have not already tried) firstly investing in an intensive conditioning treatment at least every fortnight to try and reduce the coarseness. ...More >

Secondly perhaps try having your hair thinned out with either thinning scissors or a feather blade. This will help reduce the thickness in your hair but at the same time retaining the style and length.

Hope this helps.

Dr Sajid asks:
I am 32 year male, I have thick black hair, very little curly, my barber applied a hair straightener on my hair he mixed 3 shampoo satches, and washed my hair after 5 minutes, it became so straight that I lost my hair style, I hate my hair now, it happened one week ago, now I want to get back by normal hair, how it is possible?

If I understand you correctly then you have had a hair re-laxer applied?

To go back to your natural texture or wave is difficult. You could always try a very soft permanent wave, but I would be tempted to get your hair cut and grow it out.
