Susanna Sullivan asks:
Good evening, I have straight hair with a bit of a kink which I normally blow straight. However for a different look I was wondering if there is a product that would enhance the gentle wave in my hair. I recall years ago I used foam which was scrunched into my hair which left it very ícrispyí ...... Not a good look! Would appreciate any suggestions to give a wavy more casual look.

Kind regards

You need a curl cream, I love the sexyhair one best but there are lots of good ones about. Make sure you apply evenly and comb through with a wide tooth comb before either leaving to dry naturally or with a diffuser. You can alsways spray leave in conditioner on to the hair as well as it waters down the curl cream so makes it leave less residue if you use too much. ...More >

Elizabeth Duncan asks:
Hi experts, I naturally have dark brown hair. 18 months ago I had mid-to-dark blonde balayage colouring done professionally. Itís growing out but the bleached areas are quite brassy - wash with toner at my hairdressers hasnít really lasted and itís not responded particularly well to silver shampoo. Is it possible to apply a toner at home to neutralize it to a light brown ash colour, perhaps using a Goldwell product? Thanks for your help

Hi Elizabeth

Before you try toning it yourself try a silver conditioner, they are far more effective as they are designed to lay on and in between the cuticle layers of the hair. Leave on for 5 mins before rinsing and do it each time you shampoo your hair until you feel you have achieved the colour you want. ...More >

Then you should only have to do it every couple of weeks for maintenance. If that really doesnít work for you , yes a goldwell toner of an ash or violet base mixed with a no peroxide developer for 15 mins should do the trip. Make sure you also use colour save shampoo as it does help with the longevity of these type of toning solutions.

Good luck
