I have mid-length brown hair and I love the way my hair looks when I get out of the shower. However, as soon as it dries it looks rubbish and has a mind of its own. Iíd really like to keep the wet look style throughout the day. Please can you advise what products I can use to achieve that?

Hi Robin, the slick, wet look hairstyle is universal and rapidly growing in popularity so I totally understand why you want to rock this look. It is quite easy to achieve at home if you follow these simple steps: ...More >
After showering, gently towel dry hair and then add a few drops of KMS California Tame Frizz Oil and blow-dry using a cool setting. This brilliant product will keep your hair frizz free for up to 3 days, and is instantly absorbed to give you brilliant shine without weighing your locks down.
Once your hair is dry, add KMS Hairplay Liquid Wax. This product holds like a gel and styles like a wax, providing you with flexible support with high shine. You will love the results.

Hi I have never dyed my hair before and would really like to as its almost summer. I have very dark brown hair to the point itís almost black. Do you have any advice and product suggestions so my hair wonít turn that horrible orange colour everyone dreads! Iíve been wanting to do this for a while as I have no idea what product would be good. I need to be able to buy this product in the UK. I just plan on going lighter brown nothing dramatic at the moment.
thanks so much

If I was you Ellie I would go to a salon and ask to be a model and ask for a very soft caramel balayage. That way youíre not too committed to have regular appointments and also its not going to be lifted to light so you wonít get orange bits but it will look fabulous. You can use a silver conditioner to keep it a nice cool tone when you have been in the sun. ...More >

I have naturally dark hair with some grey. About three years ago, when hair colour didnít require sitting under a dryer, I would get hair color
and my hair would immediately become limp, dry, unmanageable and break off.
I went lighter for awhile and my hair was the healthiest it had been, but it doesnít go with my skin tone. I tried the more natural, close to my colour
darker colour, and the same thing happened, three different stylists, three different hair colour companies.
In the last 6 months, stylist have put protein treatments on trying to
rejuvenate my hair, but my hair hates that too. I can no longer use any kind of styling products, oils, protective sprays, or heat for that matter, as my hair is so dry. I even carry a bottle of water with conditioner to mist my hair during the day as it gets so dry and full of static.
This dryness has changed my growth pattern, texture and manageability.
I am 50, very healthy, no medications, and I have a nutritionally sound diet and exercise regimen. No one seems to be able to figure this dilemma out.
Is it possible that I have such a closed cuticle that only heat will lift it, as opposed to the 10 or 20 volume developer?

Wow it seems you have tried everything I would suggest, I am just going to pluck an idea out of the sky!!!
How about foil highlights cover with a plastic cap, after they are processed use an intense moisture treatment on the hair and scalp, massaging the scalp to help stimulate the natural sebum production. Cover the treatment after massege with a plastic cap and towel and leave for a further 20 mins, rinse then use aconditioner comb through, massage again before rinsing. Then use a moisture cream and leave the hair to dry naturally to see if it looks different as iím sure it will. Do the treatment with the plastic cap at home twice a week if you can and massage your scalp as much as possible. Treat yourself to an indian head massage and hopefully your blood supply in the scalp and your healthy diet will start to feed your hair better. Itís a long shot but I have fingers crossed for you, Kala x
