Lyndal Cowen asks:
Hi after colouring my hair it has lost elasticity. It stretches very easily and breaks. What are the best protein treatments to aid with strengthening?

Thanks :)

Hi Lynda

I always recommend Redken and Joico protein treatment, they both have brilliant protein rich masques as well as protein leave in sprays. I suggest using every time you shampoo for the 1st 2 weeks then every other time for a further month. Then just weekly and you should be feeling confident that the elasticity has been restored. ...More >

Susan Taylor asks:
I am considering a Brazilian blow dry. I am a mature woman and have recently had all hair dye stripped from my hair. I have been using Fudge shampoo and conditioner which I am happy with. Can you tell me if I can still use Fudge shampoo after a Brazilian blow dry. Or maybe suggest another similar product.

Hi Susan

I love the effect of Brazilian blow dry or similar processes, but in order to maximise the longevity of the process its essential to use a sulphate free shampoo. I have checked online and Fudge do sulphate free version so I would suggest you alternate between the shampoo you are using and the sulphate free version. ...More >

Melissa asks:
Hello!, I am desperate here in the USA. I let someone do my hair who clearly did not know what they was doing. They used a High Lift Kit to TRY make my hair a light Blonde- My hair has already been dyed/colored on and off for many years and this has never happened before this disaster 2 weeks ago. Long story shorter my hair turned anything but Blonde! My hair came out majority Orange and the top only being Yellow! Not a dark Orange but a medium Orange} Can anyone please please please advise me on what to do to correct my hair so it is a light Blonde? I am not picky I would be so happy with pretty much any shade of light Blonde. B/C as of the last 2 weeks I am in hiding =( I did try Loreal Shimmer Lights {Purple shampoo) and it did not do anything,,,,So aside from that and conditioning it I have not touched it,,, Is my hair to messd up to tone these 2 colors out? Or would I need to bleach it?,, THANK YOU TO ANYONE THAT MAY REPLY!!! =(

Oh Melissa

It seems to me that the product used wasnít left on long enough or wasnít used with the correct developer in order to lift your hair light enough. The natural underlying tone of dark blonde is orange so if you want to be a light blonde you need to light the colour again. ...More >

I would suggest you buy an light ash blonde apply to the middle lengths and ends of your hair and process for 20 mins before applying to the root area (because its lighter already) process for a further 20 mins and you should have a light coolish blonde thatís even. You can always apply a toner or use the silver shampoo to personalise the colour more to your liking.

Good luck
