Hi Robyn

What a pain for you, iím not sure the length of your hair but I would suggest just damn the crown area and blow dry, as when the hair is wet it is much more flexible and can be dried into shape easily. You may find using a fabric covered hair clip the control the crown area hair overnight. ...More >

Itís a difficult one really as normally after a year hair is nearly ear length so should have enough weight to control it, if you do wear your hair short maybe ask your hairdresser to leave that area of hair as heavy as possible and use a gel based styling product when drying that area to help hold the hair in place.

I do hope this is helpful?

Nick asks:

Hi Nick

I would suggest you use styling products, gels and waxes to control the sides, they will grow quickly so I am sure this will work.

Andy asks:
My hair gets too soft, slippery and thin after I dye it with permanent dye. It seems like the dye removes all the natural oils on my scalp and makes it too flat. Iíve heard hair can get this way when you use products with silicone and ammonia in it. Should I change to a more natural hair dye?

Hi Andy

I am more inclined to think itís the effects of the conditioning ingredients of the colour of the conditioner supplied for aftercare. I would suggest not to use the conditioner and use a balancing shampoo rather than an opaque moisturising one. Try a leave in conditioner too as they are weightless. This should solve your issues and no need to change colour. ...More >

Good luck
