Divya asks:
Does usage of coffee powder increase hair growth? I have just started using coffee powder with coconut oil and curd. Iíve changed to beer shampoo as well. Feeling like my hair fall is a bit more. Is it because my hair needs to adapt to the change?

Hi Divya, The use of coffee in some hair products is said to make hair feel thicker and fuller and also to reduce the natural oils produced, but itís a difficult one to prove. I donít think it would help contribute to hair falling out. Thank you

Jj asks:
Can I use a John Frieda colour treating shampoo & a Pantene colour treating conditioner in the same wash? Or is it risky to mix two different brands when it comes to coloured hair?

Jj, Itís fine and safe to mix both brands.

Mary asks:
Hi! I was born with very white blonde hair, over the years it faded to a more mousy brown, 6 or 7 years ago I started getting a lot of thin highlights all over to get it to a lighter blonde. For the past year I have not put any bleach in my hair and have cut around 6 inches of dead ends off. Now it is a little longer than shoulder length and mostly a mousy brassy dirty blonde and a small amount of very light highlights towards the end remain. I really want to bleach my entire head for an all over blonde. I went to a hairdresser and they said that if I did this the parts of my hair that were already bleached would completely fall/break off, another hair dresser didnít suggest I do it because it wouldnít look good after the roots grew in. I really donít care about the roots showing so thatís not my problem, but obviously I donít want my hair falling off. I have extremely healthy thick wavy hair. I never use heat on it or any product at all. Will my hair really fall out if I bleach it, considering the parts that are highlighted were done a full year ago? I will still go to a professional to get it done obviously. Please let me know because I hate the way my hair looks now.

Hi Mary I canít see a problem at all with you having a high lift blonde colour all over. The effect on the highlights will give a multi tonal effect and as you state your hair is in good condition I think it will look great and a more natural look overall. The fact that you are aware that the roots being naturally darker will show through quickly and that you have no grey hair make sure the stylists uses a cool blonde formulation. This will make sure you donít have an unnatural golden look. Really good luck
