Kaylene asks:
I dye my hair blonde nearly every month and I find that my hair does not grow like it used to before I started dying it. I get upset that my hair does not grow, I do use GHDs nearly every day. What can I do to make my hair grow faster? My hair at the moment is shoulder length with little layers.

Sometimes when hair becomes damaged or broken - in your case from dying or heat damage - it can refuse to grow to its maximum potential. This can be a real pain, but worry not, it is treatable! The best way to extend your hair growth is to repair the damage with a conditioning treatment, which will keep your hair healthy and moisturised and encourage it to grow faster and stronger. I have the perfect product for this called RUTP Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length Treatment, which forms a protective film on the hair to prevent and repair damage. By massaging it into your hair and leaving it for 5 minutes after shampooing you can be sure to have glowing, flowing locks to be proud of!

I have recently started using Loreal hi Richesse Diacolor. I would like to know if it is necessary to use the recommended Richesse Developer if it is possible to use a 6% 20 vol creme peroxide instead of the developer?

I am afraid that we never recommend for consumers to use professional products unless they are trained hairdressers so we are unable to help you with this one.

I have Afroish hair - Mom white, Dad black so I have kind of got loose curls. I straighten my hair and sometimes my hair frizzes and goes back to being curly when its damp - what can I use (I have a short spikey hair style)

I recently tried the Yuko system on hair like yours and it worked fantastic! Also try the J F Lazartigue Straightening Gel for curly hair it is an amazing product that holds moisture inside and blocks humidity you need to apply it before drying your hair. You must be careful with products like frizzes which contain a non soluble silicone which will not allow moisture into your hair, making it dryer and curlier and which will build up around the hair cuticles to the point of strangling your hair
