Rassie asks:
I used to have really, really curly hair but as I grew older, my hair got straighter. Also, every time I get a haircut, my hair only gets straighter! How do I get my curls back?

Unfortunately hair can change in texture as we get older, and really there is not a great deal that can be done about it. There are some good products on the market to help boost and encourage curl which would be a good idea, and also make sure you do not wear your hair too long or one length, as the weight will pull any natural curl out.

Cate asks:
I have thick, wavy hair that's never been treated. I've just had it cut shorter than usual, to just above the shoulder, and the hairdresser cut choppy layers into it to make it hang less heavily than it was doing. It looks great at home, even after fairly minimal blow-drying (straight-ish), but is completely uncontrollable in the current humidity for a day at work, and I've had to resort to tying it back because it's going so wavy. Was it a mistake to have it layered, and what can I do in the meantime?

There is only one thing you can do while you are waiting to grow the layers longer, use Stay Straight or Straightening Balms to help to control the humidity in the summer months. OR - as your hair is wavy, why not try to use the curl instead of hiding it. If you use Curl up products and dry your hair naturally or with a diffuser attachment - you may be surprised at the results. Waves and texture are the big trend for this year. - Sorry I canít be more helpful.

Georgia asks:
I'm 14 and have really long, thick and extremely curly hair. I no I'll never be able to have short hair because it'll go too puffy but I get so bored of my style and don't know how to handle it! At the moment I have a fringe cut into it but I'm so bored!

You can have short hair, you will need to find a hairstylist that has good cutting and texturizing techniques. With that and the correct advice on styling products you will have no problems.
