Bunni asks:
I have crazy mixed hair, that I just canít tame no matter what I do! Iíve gone to salons for help but even they groan when it comes to blow drying or straightening my hair. Iíve put eggs and mayo in my hair, olive oil, different conditioners, and nothing seems to help at all. I just want my curls to be more relaxed and neat looking as opposed to this messy, puffy mess I was cursed with.

Use a good moisturizing shampoo and treatment conditioner to help with the condition of your hair. Also humidity is obviously getting into your hair either that or you are not drying your hair completely before straightening, which will cause your hair to revert to frizz. Make sure that you use a good non chemical hair relaxer such as Razzamatazz strait time, comb it through to make your hair smooth and then dry this in thoroughly before using flat irons. Your hair will dry faster than usual when using this product. Once your hair is dry use a serum such as razzamatazz glitz to keep out humidity.

Brenda asks:
I am soon to be 52. I color my hair brown, it is naturally wavy, bangs and length is at my shoulder, no layers. My hair is also oily so I wash every day and I style it with a hairdryer that has the brush attached to straighten it. It has changed in the last few years and it is thinner on top than it was. What style would you recommend (I have a square jaw). I want to get the right length I currently use Tresemme hair products for volume. Do you recommend any layers on top?

I would certainly recommend having some layers put through as this will create a lot more volume and give the appearance of thicker hair. It will also make you feel like youíve had a style change but without losing too much of the length which is important to keep if you have a square jaw.

Danielle asks:
I have been straightening my hair for over 5 years now and cannot live without straightening it, my hair is rather long and I have not Been sensible and took proper care of my hair as I have recently started using heat protection products, to stop split ends and breakage of the hair but I realised I already have that and my hair is starting to feel dry and like straw but if I donít straighten my hair I look horrible and what can I do to get rid of the horrible split ends, and the dryness of my hair?

Try Joico K-Pak regime which is a line of hair care products that condition and reconstructs the hair. Straightening the hair on a regular basis depletes all the moisture, thus the dry split hair. The Joico Split End Mender is a great in-between salon fixer! You will also need to have a hair cut to remove the damage. If not it will only damage and spoil the opportunity of achieving any length. Condition, condition! Trim hair your hair will be much healthier. Also, try to avoid heated tools where and when you can.
