Pam asks:
I noticed that my stylist uses Framesi permanent hair color on my hair, so I am planning on ordering some on Ebay so I can do my own root touch-up between visits. My question is what kind of volume of peroxide should I use. My hair is dyed with a #3N as that is closest to my natural color but a tad darker and nicer? Also what is the ratio of hair color to peroxide, and how long do you leave the product on for?

Don't do it.

Colouring your own hair is never as easy as you think. The reason we are professional hairdressers is because we have spent years of training to be able to do OUR jobs correctly. ...More >

Although the fraise root touch up makes the application sound simple it is NOT.

Many things come into the equation like overlapping, depth of hair, peroxide selection, development time and heat application.

Keep your hair looking and feeling fantastic and stick with your stylist.

Your hair looks cool man.

Donít have it cut off.!!!!!!!! ...More >

I would recommend having it bladed to introduce some texture into the cut so that you can move it about and change its look.

This would give you far more style options when using products.

It would also help reduce the curl and make styling easier.

Mary asks:
I hope you can help- my hair is very static. I have even recently stopped using conditioner hoping that would help but my hair still remains static!

Static hair can be very annoying; however there are a couple of tips that can help:

The dryer your hair is, the more static it will be, so you need to make sure your hair is super moisturised. By stopping using conditioner you are actually probably just adding to the problem! ...More >

Use a moisturising shampoo such as my Poker Straight shampoo with P2Fifty, (£4.49 for 250ml) and follow with an intense conditioner such as my sofLee sofLee intense conditioner. (£5.99 for 200ml)

Make sure you are using at home treatments to keep your hair in tip top condition. My new night range includes a great treatment, Poker Straight Sleepover Overnight Treatment, (£6.99 for 150ml) which works on your hair overnight so that it is being looked after 24/7!

Before drying your hair rub a small amount of serum such as my Poker Straight shine serum, (£6.99 for 50ml) onto your hair which will make hair smoother and less likely to be static. When you have finished blow drying rub a tiny bit more serum over hair for double protection.

You could also brush it out using a product like Poker Straight Dehumidifier (£4.99 for 150ml) which acts as an umbrella against frizz and static throughout the day.

To control any flyaway hair that has escaped your efforts, spray a comb with hairspray and run it through your hair for a static free style!
