Tessa asks:
I was wondering if you could give me some advice on hair extensions. I would like to get glue real hair extensions but do not know where to go. Do you know of any salon that does good hair extensions in Worcestershire and Birmingham area.

There are over 28 hair extensions techniques of which I would say 12 are value for money and do not harm your hair if applied, maintained and looked after properly. There are many hair extensions technicians offering hair extensions but what I would advise you to look for is a technician that is trained in more than one technique. The reason for this is to ensure that they apply the technique that is complimentary to your hair type, life style and hair condition. A properly trained hair extensions technician would perform a consultation first of all and advise you about the various techniques and recommend and explain the technique they would apply. Some techniques can be quite aggressive on the hair especially on removal and could result in hair loss. Visit UK hairdressers directory there are a few hair extension technicians listed in there.

Tina asks:

You could try using J F Lazartigue Colour Emulsion for Grey Hair, Colour Emulsion is a permanent colour- ammonia and peroxide free. It covers up to 100% grey hair. Based on an algae compound, the emulsion acts by coating of the hair shaft, leaving a glossy protecting film Colour Emulsion has no lightening power, it does not contain any ammonia or peroxide which would naturally re-establish your colour without you highlighting or colouring your hair anymore.

Sable asks:
Will dying your hair black cause it to fall out? I have light brown, long hair and everyone tells me dying it does. I have been losing a lot of hair, but have not dyed my hair for about 4-5months, but I have also been under a lot of stress, but still could the dye be adding to hair loss? I do not over dye my hair, only about once every month to 2-3months. please help. Also is there a temporary black dye I could use that will wash out?

Dying your hair will definitely not cause it to fall out. The only way hair colouring can cause hair loss from is if it causes a skin reaction such as a severe dermatitis. You would certainly know if that happened as your scalp would be very red, sore and may blister. If hair becomes extremely dry because of the over use of hair colours it may become brittle and break off but this is quite a different thing to hair falling out. In fact, the stress you have been under is more likely to be causing excessive hair fall so try to eliminate this if possible.
