Sable asks:
Will dying your hair black cause it to fall out? I have light brown, long hair and everyone tells me dying it does. I have been losing a lot of hair, but have not dyed my hair for about 4-5months, but I have also been under a lot of stress, but still could the dye be adding to hair loss? I do not over dye my hair, only about once every month to 2-3months. please help. Also is there a temporary black dye I could use that will wash out?

Dying your hair will definitely not cause it to fall out. The only way hair colouring can cause hair loss from is if it causes a skin reaction such as a severe dermatitis. You would certainly know if that happened as your scalp would be very red, sore and may blister. If hair becomes extremely dry because of the over use of hair colours it may become brittle and break off but this is quite a different thing to hair falling out. In fact, the stress you have been under is more likely to be causing excessive hair fall so try to eliminate this if possible.

Hajar asks:
What will happen if you dye your hair a lot? And will dying your hair damage it?

Semi-permanent colour does not damage the hair but all other chemicals will. The worst that could happen is you could quite easily burn the hair follicle thus resulting in permanent hair loss

Deepak Jangid asks:
Im 23 years old boy and I am suffering with hair fall and itching, when I scratch my scalp I get some dirt in my nails. my hair fall is more then average, it is everywhere, on my books, desk, towel everywhere. I used to wash my hair 2 times a weak. so could you please tell me what is this, how can I prevent my hair loss and what scalp type shampoo must I try whether it is dry or normal? Id love to hear you.

Hello Deepak. if you have an itchy scalp shampooing daily with a sensitive shampoo will help alleviate this problem. if your hair is shedding more noticeably than usual this can be due to stress or you could be vitamin deficient ! Blood tests usually for iron and vit D will tell if you have a vitamin problem. A multi vitamin with extra D and biotins will help alleviate the shedding
