Hi there.

If your hair is very naturally curly you have to careful with high heat appliances and styling tools. ...More >

If you are loosing hair and have it in a tight ponytail this could also contribute to tensions alopecia.

Diet can also contribute to these conditions as well as if you have been ill or are suffering from stress.

I would recommend the following.

Wash your hair with a chemical free shampoo.

When you shampoo massage your scalp to stimulate the capillaries that promote healthy hair growth.

Follow up with a moisturising conditioner and smooth through with your fingers.

For styling use light hold gelee and a small amount of shine serum this will rehydrate your hair while styling and keep it silky and glossy.

If styling with a brush be gentle while styling until your hairs internal structure becomes stronger.

If you follow this regime you will notice very quick results and improvement.

My hair is getting lighter in colour day by day. It used to be jet black and now it is a shade of dark brown. I donít want to colour it Ė is there a way to regain lost colour?

It sounds as though your hair is getting lighter due to daily and thermal aggressions Ė make sure you always use a heat protection spray and products that lock in colour; investing in good quality products will ensure your colour lasts. I would also suggest having a gloss or demi colour to restore your jet black shade.

I used to have long hair, after I had surgery I lost a lot of blood and my hair to, I have tried simply everything to make it thick and grow, but I end up loosing more hair, what do I do?

Hair Loss can be due to a number of things stress being a major one, if your body is still under stress and you are using particular drugs this could have an adverse effect on hair growth. I would suggest at this minute you move away from wanting it long and thick again, work with what you have naturally. Aim to get a style you really like within the current length and then allow it to naturally grow. Donít force the issue, this can make it worse. There are supplements out there but they donít work for everybody.
