Treatment for Reduced Hair Volume (aka hair thinning)
The best way to treat a gradual reduction in volume is to apply daily anti-androgenic scalp drops, which help to protect your hair follicles from the miniaturizing effects of male hormones. We make drops called Tricho 7. Oral contraceptives, such as Yasmin and Dianette, can also be helpful Ė but you must talk to your doctor about the pros and cons of taking these and whether they are suitable options. It is also important to assess whether an underlying factor is at play. Conditions like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which can raise androgen levels, may worsen a genetic reduction in hair volume. Unfortunately, treating reduced volume is not quick. As it happens so slowly, it can take many years to become aware of it Ė and as a consequence, treatment takes time.
Treatment for Telogen Effluvium
To treat excessive daily hair fall you must first find the cause, and then take steps to rectify it. Luckily, a telogen effluvium will right itself once you do this. For instance, if you are losing too much hair due to a poor diet or nutritional deficiency, re-assessing eating habits, as well as taking relevant nutritional supplements will help. We make a nutritional supplement called Tricho Complex, that is formulated for the unique nutritional demands of hair cells. If you have an underlying medical condition, such as hyper or hypo thyroid, taking medications will help. And if you are stressed, you should find a stress-reducing activity that you are comfortable with - such as yoga, mindfulness, meditation Pilates or swimming. Often, more than one thing can be going on Ė and you will have to make changes accordingly. Re-formatting your lifestyle and diet is not always fun, and stress management certainly isnít easy Ė but they will definitely benefit your hair.
With any hair loss, whether you have a gradual reduction in volume, or you are losing too much hair, a holistic approach to treatment is essential. This involves targeting the hair follicle itself, bolstering the strength or strands with products, and giving your hair extra nutritional support. We formulated a 3-step holistic regime, called Trichotherapy, specifically for women with hair loss and/or reduced hair volume. It contains anti-androgenic drops (Tricho 7), a thickening protein spray (Tricho Pro), as well as a multi vitamin and mineral supplement (Tricho Complex).

Iím 20 yrs old. I have a severe hair fall and dandruff. I have tried lot of dandruff shampoos. But that resulted in more hair fall. When I apply oil my scalp remains oily but the ends get dried easily. Can you suggest some home remedies and Indian shampoos

The scalp is the bedrock for the hair follicle, and if it is not in good condition the chances of you experiencing problems with hair growth and health increase significantly. In fact, research has proven that a flaky, itchy scalp can cause and/or worsen hair loss in certain individuals. The best approach is a consistent and daily one. At our Clinics in London and New York we find that daily use of a soothing, antimicrobial shampoo and a targeted post-shampoo scalp toner is the fastest and most effective way to clear dandruff. Daily treatment should be carried out until the flaking and itching subside. This can then be reduced to every other day and stopped about 10 days later. Applying an exfoliating scalp mask once to twice a week will also speed up recovery. This gently lifts away flakes and helps to return the rate of skin cell turnover on the scalp to a normal, healthy level. Coarse hair is more porous than medium or fine hair and so is prone to moisture loss. It therefore often becomes dry and frizzy. If you have coarse hair, use a re-moisturizing shampoo like Philip Kingsley Re-Moisturizing Shampoo
, with anti-static ingredients.

One product alone will not combat reduced hair volume or hair loss. It must be addressed holistically. You should give your hair internal support through diet and relevant nutritional supplements, add immediate body and moisture with a thickening, protective protein spray, and optimize the condition of your scalp with stimulating, anti-androgenic scalp drops. We make a 3-step holistic regime called Trichotherapy
that addresses hair volume worries from each of these angles, Tricho Complex
contains hair essential iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Biotin and Vitamin D.
