Liz asks:
I have just had extensions put in and would like to colour my hair, is this possible or would it ruin my extensions? They are human hair and are woven in.

It is best that you speak to the hairdresser who has applied the extensions. With bonded extensions you can colour the hair as the stylists will simply remove the extensions and reapply afterwards or weave the colour away from the bond so it is not damaged. Bear in mind that if you change the colour of your natural hair it may no longer blend with the new extensions. If it is just your roots that need touching up, this should be fine.

Cheryl asks:
I would like to know what the hair style and colour is for Autumn 2006?

It is hard to say without knowing what your hair or colour is. But, these are my trends for the forthcoming season winter blondes are pale and muted, brunettes are earthy toned, reds take their inspiration from opulent colours of nature. Short hair crops morph into stronger, more defined, sharper cuts - think model Maria Carla. Medium length hair is perfect for the bob - Linda Evangelista circa 92 is a great inspiration. Long hair is about shabby chic just like Kate Moss.

Tina asks:
I had a perm three days ago and even though I have washed it, you can still see where the rollers have been. I can feel stubble on my scalp at the roller marks, and it seems as if my hair has been burnt off by the perming solution. The rest of my hair is fairly soft and the perm (which was far too curly) is dropping out already. Should I be worried about long-term damage to my roots or scalp? I have naturally fine, soft straight hair, never dyed.

It is a common problem as some hairdressers do not use perm protectors for the rubber bands, unfortunately there is very little that you can do as the perm solution has shaped your hair in that creased way. Try J.F. Lazartigue hair vitamins which would strengthen and nourishes your hair
