Noodles asks:
I have just bought some Matrix Curl Life defining system for my fine curly hair. I bought the shampoo and the conditioner and contouring milk, I applied a small amount of milk to begin with after shampooing and conditioning. I was very disappointed with the results. I normally use less expensive hair products such as Sunsilk Curls and Waves leave in cream and the results are better. Why is this so?

It could be the consistency of the product that is different. Try using a little more of the product or towel drying a little before you apply the product.

Helen asks:
My hair is pretty long at the moment, light brown and fairly fine but with lots of it. I have a fairly long face and a big forehead. I would love to go for some kind of shaggy bob style but how do I know what would suit me?

With long face shape and high forehead, you need to go for a style that has some sort of fringe or side fringe to off-set the length of your face. A choppy bob with layers around the face would look great on you.

Your hair has a way of telling you if your body is in balance. However stress can threaten to overwhelm us as a product of modern day life Stress can be defined in a variety of ways such as: Feeling bad due to troubles beyond your control, mind and body changes and ongoing worry. ...More >

When theses issues are not properly managed then this starts to affect your appetite, your nourishment levels are low and the tell tale signs manifest themselves through various aspects of your body.

Your hair is one of the first places your body shows distress. Illness, medication and imbalances in nutrition all show up in you hair and scalp. Even aspirins and over the counter allergy pills or cold tablets can have a negative effect on your hair, especially if your hair is chemically treated with colour or a permanent rinse.

Before you can start to really treat your hair externally, you need to start treating yourself internally such as having fun, relaxing, physical activity and even learning to breath. Or talking to someone you can trust to keep your confidence and offer unbiased advice. Good sleep, a good diet to include foods rich in vitamins B, A and C

Once you start to feel better inside, and your appetite returns, you will find that your hair will become healthier.

With regards to hair enhancement, if the top of your hair is really thin and is affecting your confidence to go out, I recommend the ‘crowning glory hair enhancement system’

This could be used in the interim until your hair grows back nice and strong.
