Jennie asks:
I had the underneath of my hair coloured brown for two years, the top is blonde, went to hairdresser and asked to change the brown back to blonde, now it is a orange ginger, that I donít like can I put something on it myself to make it blonde like the top, without going to the hairdresser as I have all ready spent £160 on my hair, I have very thick long to the shoulder hair?

First please do not try this yourself! Go back to the salon that performed the colour service for you and explain the problem and your concerns. A good salon should correct this for you or compensate you for your trouble. If you do not get any joy from your hairdresser then please look for another and see if they would be willing to correct your colour on a training night.

Doing this yourself is very, very risky and I would not recommend it.

Gemma asks:
A mobile stylist highlighted my hair but I donít like the rusty colour she has produced with bleach can I just dye over the whole lot

Please do not do it.

This is much more difficult than you may think. If you are confident enough then ask the hairdresser who coloured your hair for advice and inform him/her of your concerns. If you have lost confidence in your stylist then try and find a new one that you can trust in.

Caroline M asks:
I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair. I naturally have mid brown hair and about 5 years ago I had it bleached blonde. I use to straighten my hair every day and it looked quite healthy to me. One day I went back to the hairdressers and they advised me not to bleach my hair again because it was so damaged, they then dyed it back mid brown for me. That was two years ago and although I try to look after my hair I do not straighten my hair and deep condition 2-3 times a week I still get very dry ends very quickly. Is there anything you can recommend so my ends stay soft and silky like I have just left the salon or is this just the natural hair I have?

It does sound like you may have naturally coarse/dry hair, but having said this the two tips I would recommend are, firstly make sure you have your hair cut every 6 weeks and secondly I would try Sebastian Potion 9 or Potion 9 Lite.

Both of these are leave in conditioners which are ideal for coarse/dry and coloured hair.
