Frances asks:
I have patchy grey hair and have had it coloured all over using L'Oreal Majirel dark Blonde by my home visit hairdresser who I have used for many years but the result is always the same - the colour doesn't last and the crown always looks a different colour from the rest of my hair. Also it's limp and dry after the first wash. Is their a brand of colour that you could recommend where the colour would stay in longer and with more body?

It sounds like your hair maybe very resistant to colour, so after a short period of time the colour fades very quickly. You could try having your hair pre softened, which will help open the cuticles of the hair and hopefully the colour will penetrate deeper.

I would also recommend trying Wella Koleston Perfect colour range to see if you get a better result.

Faiza asks:
I just wanted to ask, I have too many grey hairs, my family says not to dye them, they think the situation will turn out to be worse, can please give me some advice on whether I should use a dye or not and if I should then which one would be best for me.

Having your hair coloured does not make the situation worse, but once you start it is something that you will need to keep having done.

At this stage I would advise booking a free consultation at your hairdressers so they can see your hair. By the sounds of it I would recommend starting with a semi permanent colour which will wash out over a period of time. This way if you donít like it youíre not stuck with it and it is also very gentle on the hair.

Emma asks:
I have naturally dark brown hair I have been having it coloured blonde for 8 years recently I have been having it bleached but I get ginger patches how can I keep my hair really blonde but get rid of the ginger please help

It sounds like either the bleach is not being left on long enough to lift the warm tones in your hair and possibly the correct choice of toner afterwards.

Lifting warmth out of hair is notoriously difficult so it is important that a suitable product is applied.
