Shauna asks:
I have long thin hair, what type of style will make my hair look thicker?

Something without layers (or even maybe graduated). Do not leave it too long as this will make the hair look thinner. Use good body build products.

Molly asks:
How can I stop my hair from being so flat? It is long and thick which makes it heavy. I like the length but the longer it is the heavier it is and it is so hard to stop it from looking so flat against my head.

It is a problem but you are still well blessed if you have a good head of thick hair! The only long term solution is to have some of the weight taken out of your hair by having some long layers through your hair. You can still keep your length but it will make your hair easier to style. I would also have some highlights through your hair as this tends to soften hair and make it easier to get body into.

Alison asks:
Why is my hair not growing? I use straighteners but I do not use them all the time.

I have news for you. Almost every persons hair grows every day on any part of their body. All at different paces, some fine, some thick etc. It would seem like you are very focused on your hair each day and looking for visible signs of additional length. It takes approximately 6 weeks for your hair to grow between 1 cm 2 cm so any visible difference will take at least 6-9 months.

Using straighteners every day without proper protection can also damage the outer hair shaft which might slow down the growing process. There could also be a deficiency in minerals that help stimulate the hair follicles. Most of the chemists have minerals specifically designed for hair and nails. It will usually take about 6 months for you to see any real difference.
