Hi Ivan:
Most trichologists from Philip Kingsley Trichological centre in London and New York, recommend that you should shampoo your hair everyday as any other part of your body, and over-excess of oils could cause several problems to your scalp as they could attack your good bacterial Flora letting your skin area open to infections as this layer actually protects and regulates the area. The trick is to use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair and scalp type, always use the right shampoo for your scalp and a good non heavy conditioner in your hair.

Helen asks:
I have shoulder length hair cut into layers, when drying I use a diffuser and some mousse, but the top of my hair just will not curl, would a soft perm sovle this problem?

Diana DudasAnswered By:

Yes! a soft perm would help. Actually a root perm would be sufficient. This will give you natural lift and add body without being overly curly. be careful not to overuse the mousse as it can weigh your hair down and the fact that it may dry out your hair will prevent your hair form curling. Make sure that you use good moisturising products that will enhance curl.
