Quotes from Laura Robertson and Deesh Dhindsa, Sally Montague Hair Group Art Team Members

1. The inspiration behind the look
The inspiration for the look came from playing with surface textures, from matte to rose-gold metallic tones. We saw this trend on the Autumn/Winter 2014/15 catwalks at Mary Katrantzou, KTZ and Marc Jacobs.

2. Does it have dress down/dress up options?
It’s a versatile look - you can dress it down with a more relaxed blow-dry, or dress it up by using firmer styling products to exaggerate the shape.

3. Which hair types does it work for?
This style can work with all hair types. On thin hair, it will give the illusion of fuller, thicker hair; and on thick hair, it will naturally create a good shape making it easy to style.

4. High or low maintenance?
Although the tones used may appear to be high maintenance, there will not be obvious regrowth, and the cut will naturally fall into shape, making styling simpler.

5. What face shapes best suit this style?
We would say the look is best suited to oval and square-shaped faces, but by adapting the length and fringe it could be suitable for all face shapes.

6. Any important blow-dry/styling tips? • Blast the hair upside down to create volume
• Use a texturising product such as L’Oréal Professionnel Techni.ART Texture Dust
• Dry the hair with a large barrel brush to ‘kick under’ the ends
7. Best products for the style and colour?
For colour, we would recommend L’Oréal Professionnel INOA to create ultimate high-shine tones. Styling-wise, we found using L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Volume Lift, Smooth Liss Control, Texture Dust and Air Fix gave the perfect combination of texture, shine and hold.
