The inspiration behind the look
This haircut screams sex siren! The colour, the cut and the styling all works together to create a sultry style that can work for any age.

Does it have dress down/dress up options?

I think this is more of an evening look with regards to styling but it can easily be dressed down with less height in the day.

Which hair types does it work for? ie fine/thick, etc
Best for thicker hair types, but fine hair can definitely opt for length just with slightly less layering. We have a technique in our salon called scaffolding, which layers the hair from within creating a support system which holds the hairís volume which is fantastic for creating this look.

Which skin tones/complexions/eye colours is the colour best suited to?

This colour all works better with a pale skin tone it doesnít really lend itself to a tan.

High or low maintenance?

Iíd say this look is about a 5 on the maintenance scale. Itís all about the prep when creating a dishevelled look but once the hard work is done the look should get better and better as the night goes on.

What face shapes best suit this style?
This style works for the majority of face shapes however avoid if you have square face as it will make you look even more boxed in.

Any important blow dry/styling tips?
Apply plenty of mousse to start with and comb evenly throughout, blast the hair upside down to get the roots all drying in an upward direction; then dry the remainder of the hair with a large round brush. Finally set in heated roller to give a smooth finish.

Best products for the style and colour?
This look needs a mousse with movement and some hold, I would recommend tecni art Volume Lift, to give great directional volume. Tec ni art super dust applied to the roots after blow drying will also give long lasting height without giving the hair a stiff hairsprayed feel.

Are there certain make up/clothes shades that are ideally suited to the colour?

Smokey eye colours and bronzes for the eyes work great with this style, adding to the sexy feel. Iíd also recommend subtle blusher and a paler coloured lip, make it all about the eyes.
