The Party Hair Trends For This Festive Season

Who better to turn to for party hair advice than stylists to the celebrities, Midlands Hairdressers of The Year and the owners of the rather fabulous midlands salon group Royston Blythe Hairdressing. Royston Blythe and Nick Malenko are multi award winning stylists that tend to the locks of the UK's ultimate party girls and here is their verdict : _

Girls if your hair is long then for the party season you should think big, beautiful and sexy - work your hair to enhance your features and compliment your wardrobe. Our clients love to look ultra glam over the festive period and a combination of iconic 1960's Bardoesque and the statement Cheryl Cole locks will ensure just that! Loose curls and soft, textured waves are perfect and teamed with a healthy, glossy finish will create a stunning, sophisticated and super stylish look.

Updo's are a party girls must have hairstyle, they ooze with grace and elegance and can make a real statement with a simple gown or a more subtle statement with an intricate outfit. During your consultation with your stylist be sure to describe your look, back detailed dresses for example are the perfect match to a beautifully styled updo. Half up - half down do's WOW and fit the brief for the less structured look that is so en vogue. You can recreate this look easily at home or as a quick fix when doing office to evening glamour...the rules are simple, quick blast of dry shampoo in to your tresses, back-comb to tease a little life back and then tie your sections of hair just below the crown to give the illusion of height!

Shorter hair should also be glamourised for any glitzy or red party occasion! Chic short hairstyles and shoulder skimming bobs are so current this season and can be ultra elegant too. The trick is to personalise each style to suit the individuals features, weather worn super sleek and smooth or with texture and soft waves, there is a real beauty in a head turning, high sheen glossy finish.
