Warren Holmes Styles Hair for DAISY LOWE Campaign
International Creative Director, at
Nicky Clarke, Warren Holmes is a stylist
in demand. His reputation as an award
winning session stylist has seen him
style the hair for BBC’s The Voice
judge Danny O’Donoghue, and most recently
Daisy Lowe.
As the new face for an international
campaign, that exclusively launched
in the July issue of Vanity Fair,
Stephen Webster called on Warren Holmes
to style the hair for his current
muse, Daisy Lowe. Inspired by various
eras Warren created a vision of contemporary
style fused with iconic looks from
previous decades.
“Daisy has wicked style. She knows
how to work it and is like a modern
day Bridgette Bardot. She’s fierce
and knows what she likes. We worked
together to create a range of styles
for the campaign.”
The images have also graced the pages
of US Vogue and W Magazine.
“The feeling of the shoot was very
dark, ‘death of the bride’ I had in
my mind instantly when I looked through
all the references. Stephen was very
clear about what he wanted, we could
go dark and be dangerous, but it still
had to have an element of glamour
to it but he encouraged me to change
Daisy’s look
almost to the point where people would
do a double take ‘is that Daisy Lowe’.
The photographer is a real artist,
we shot it in his studio actually,
lots of props, nothing ‘fashion’ about
it, just how I like it.
I wanted to channel a real burlesque
feeling through Daisy’s Hair, she
has beautiful dark shiny hair, but
despite my best efforts to change
her look, the eye can’t deviate away
from what Daisy actually is, quite
Rocky, seductive and young”
