Get a friend to help you or really show off your styling skills and try it yourself.... angle a couple of mirrors so you can see what you're doing!
Start by sectioning a handful of hair on top of the head, leaving a good wide fringe section around the face.

Comb through, then back comb to add volume.

Spray liberally with hairspray.

Curl round and pin loosely for now.

Leave like this, while rest of hair is styled.

Leave hair framing face, brush & gather rest to back.

Gather into one hand, pushing up slightly to give crown height.

Pulling hair a little to side, start using grips from the nape up. Criss cross the grips to secure.

Sweep hair smoothly round and twist remaining hair tightly.

Turn ends under the coiled hair and then push in pins to keep firmly in place.

Use more hairspray to hold the style, work round smoothing and tidying loose strands. Next, open out the top curl, backcomb more if required and pull back into a lifted mound, pulling the sides slightly down to close up shape.
Secure top by curling ends round and pinning onto the raised back section. Then sweep fringe to side and smooth into sexy tendrils. Spray again with hairspray for a confident, classy look just like Cheryl Cole's that will last the distance.
