Jamie Treays, (born 1985) known by his stage name Jamie T, is an English singer/songwriter from Wimbledon, South London. He attended Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey until he was 16. Jamie is currently signed to Virgin Records. His debut album Panic Prevention was released on 29 January 2007. However it was leaked on the internet on 18 December 2006. When Jamie was younger he used to suffer from panic attacks, hence the album name. Jamie beat both Jarvis Cocker and Thom Yorke to win the Best Solo Artist at the 2007 Shockwave NME Awards and his album Panic Prevention was shortlisted as one of the 12 nominees for the Mercury Music Prize.
