Nanogen Nanogaine Hair Regrowth Maintainance System
Nanogaine is one of a kind. It’s clinically proven results mean it can be judged alongside other proven hair regrowth formulae such as Propecia (from Merck), Minoxidil (from Upjohn & Pharmacia) and Avodart (from GSK) which also have clinically proven results.
There are many advantages to using Nanogaine alongside or instead of the other proven alternatives.
Topical application test:
The hair of the lumbar region (small 5cm patch) of six C3H mice was cut and 0.1ml of SOD extract was applied twice a day, until hair growth was observed. THe area of hairgrowth was monitored with an image analysing apparatus on days 14, 21 and 28 following the start of the test.
At 1% concentration of SOD, hair growth response was observed in all cases after 14 days and hair growth rate was observed in all areas of treatment. At 0.5% concentration, hair growth response was observed in all cases and hair growth rate was 90%.
In comparison, Minoxidil (2% Rogaine, Upjohn) showed hair growth response for 5 out of the 6 animals in 28 days and hair growth rate was at 57%
In Vitro test:
It has been shown that Minoxidil increases the DNA synthesis of skin hair follicle and the synthesis of keratin in the hair follicle (Buhl AE et al., J Invest Dermatol 1991 May; 96(5):73S-74S) so it was decided to use the same test for Superoxide Dismutase for a fair comparison. Addition of only 5-10 microM of SOD extract provoked hair follicle protein synthesis which was 100-200% higher than that of Minoxidil (2%)
We are aware that Minoxidil is usually used at 5% concentration or higher. Nanogaine is formulated with 2% SOD in addition to it’s other actives such as Lo-Seb TM and Capilecti
Nanogaine can be used concurrently with Minoxidil therepy.
A simple search on the Google engine “SOD + Hairloss” will provide multiple references to the other respected sources who have tested SOD for applications in hair loss therapy. Indeed there have been expensive patent fights over this particular ingredient.
