Following a fabulous, nail biting night at the
L'Oréal Colour Trophy Awards, the winners were
finally announced and the successful Salon teams
leapt off their seats as the names were read
out. The Trophy uniquely combines international
fashion and innovative hairdressing into a thrilling
competition. Over 1,200 British hairdressers

The Grand Final took place on Monday night
at Earls Court, London hosted by the effervescent
Fearne Cotton. Guests were welcomed with
a champagne reception in a stunning monochrome
bar area, dressed in Philippe Starck furniture
and chic white leather sofas. Once the
show was ready to start, the crowds were
moved through to the main auditorium which
was divided with a stunning stage and
long catwalk. 27 teams competed for the
L'Oréal Colour Trophy 'Female Look', nine
teams for the 'Men's Image' and nine for
the 'Young Colourist'. The standard was
very high and the judges had difficult
decisions to make, but here are the winning
styles.

Triumphant on the night, carrying off the coveted
L’Oréal Colour Trophy, was the team from Sanrizz,
London. Having entered the competition twice
in the past, one-woman team Maria O’Keefe was
beyond ecstatic to have finally scooped the
winning title. Second place went to Indigo Rye,
Wallingford and Sanrizz, Guildford came in third.
The hotly-contested L’Oréal Men’s Image Award
went to Toni & Guy, Guildford. The team were
absolutely stunned by their win, as 2007 is
the first year they have entered the Award.
Sanrizz took to the stage again, as their Guildford
salon added L’Oréal Men’s Image Runner Up to
the hairdressing chain’s string of awards.
The L’Oréal Young Colourist Award, a brand new
category for 2007, was won by Yvonne Frankel
from the Exclusive Hair Company in Belfast.

impressive: Charlie Miller, Charles Worthington,
Errol Douglas, Lisa Shepherd, Richard Ward,

in the bar to dance to hot London DJs from the
Ministry Of Sound.
