ROOM – Cardiff

Room in Cardiff are through to the Grand Final
of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2007.
Jackie and Kathryn explain the thinking behind
their striking image: “We wanted to create
a short style that was ultra-wearable. The impact
of the white blonde really brings out the beauty
of the hair cut while the understated tunic dress
balances the drama of the overall look.”
“It’s brilliant to see your work being appreciated
by such a high calibre of hairdresser,” beamed
a delighted Jackie. “The whole salon has been
involved in the creative process and it’s so good
for the team to see the talent that is out
|
there.
We have all come back to the salon feeling refreshed
and excited about the next step in our journey.”

CHAPMAN HAIR DESIGN - Launceston
Lisa Blatchford and Hannah Martin from the Craig
Chapman Hair Design in Launceston are through
to the Grand Final of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy
2007.
Lisa and Hannah explain the thinking behind their
striking image: “This is a very fresh, young
look with a hint of geek chic about it, inspired
by Ugly Betty. It’s a great for tomboy’s who have
an air of youthful femininity about them, reflected
by the glossy long hair and a quirky flash of
lightness around the front.”
“We were absolutely gobsmacked – there was
so much amazing work on the competition floor,”
said salon owner Craig Chapman. “I felt that
we were in the running but we |
 |
were
the last salon to be called out and our nerves were
off the scale. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be one
of the team’s that are cheering and celebrating success.”

of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2007.

striking image: “Extensive research and great
team work has resulted in an androgynous, high
in style look. The strength of strong lines for
the shape combined with a halo of dark reds absorbed
by even darker browns encapsulates an edgy, ‘full
of sexiness’ end result.”
“It feels incredible to see your salon’s work
on the catwalk next to such a high calibre of
Regional Finalist’s,” beamed ecstatic salon owner
Stuart Holmes. “The team spirit |
throughout
this whole process has been amazing and we’re all behind
Fi and Aimie as they go on to compete at the Grand Final.”

star hair, inspired by the likes of Brandon Flowers
from The Killers. There is also a strong influence
from icons from the 1950’s which we’ve given a
modern twist to create an ultra-wearable, high
fashion look.”
“The L’Oréal Colour Trophy is the only hairdressing
competition we aspire to win,” said salon
owner Richard |
 |
