Day at the Playboy Mansion!

Last weekend, I packed my styling bag and headed to the Stars and Stripes Charity
event held at the Beverly Hills Playboy Mansion! I was thrilled to be able to
participate as a hair stylist as this event, where proceeds benefited veterans
wounded in the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan.
I caught the staff shuttle at the Beverly Plaza Hotel and arrived at the Beverly
Hills Playboy Mansion at 8:30am. The hair and makeup team were setup in the mansion's
games room, which houses an amazing collection of Hugh Hefner memorabilia along
with classic arcade games and a pool table. The amazing 15 person team of body
paint artists were hard at work in an outdoor tent creating pin-up style looks
inspired by the 1950's era military. As part of the hair styling team, I worked
to develop creative upstyles consistent with the event's theme and also incorporated
the vintage military hats supplied by the body paint team.
this uniform was created entirely by bodypaint (we had to censor the rest! Sorry!)
For my 4 models, I first applied L'anza Neem Silk Serum
to ensure the finished look was silky and shiny. Next,
I liberally applied L'anza Art Elements Reflex and Spray
Gel before setting each style with a 1" barrel curling
iron. Finally, after each model's body paint look was
fully complete, using L'anza Healing Style Powder Up
Texturizer, I pinned curls in the desired style and
sprayed each model with L'anza Volume Final Effects
to make sure each style would last through the night.
Next it was off to the party! Hugh Hefner, along with his girlfriend Crystal Harris,
kicked off the party. I partied with celebrities including David Hasselhoff, Tara
Reid, and Verne Troyer. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and a fantastic buffet
that included a sushi table, Italian spread and delicious desserts.
I will never forget my day at the world's most famous mansion!
