Celebrity
Scissorhands 2007 - and the winner is…..Ninia Benjamin
|
|
It
all went like a dream - Lee Stafford's team of Celebrity Hairdressers
put on a great catwalk presentation and wowed the audience, viewers and
professional judges who included Beverly C, Richard Ward, Errol Douglas
and the Mascalo's who founded Tony&Guy.
Steve Strange choreographed the event and didn't disappoint as he flounced
and strutted his stuff - despite nipping a customer's ear during the previous
week and shaving a bit high up a ladies head - his cut on final night
was spot on and impressed everyone.

before and after Steve's cut, it had stepped layers at the back and plenty
of attitude |

After the
other trainees had showcased their models, it was time for the "mane"
event and finalists Aled Haydn Jones and Ninia Benjamin worked their magic
and talked up their styling and techniques. Both had received lots of
votes on our viewers poll and it really was neck and neck on the night.

The
judges had a long discussion amongst themselves to decide who should be
the winner and then presenter George Lamb made the announcement. "Both
trainees gave fantastic performances, the panel has deliberated and I
can reveal that the Celebrity Scissorhands Hairdresser of the Year 2007
is… Ninia!"
Beverly C enthused, "I'm almost speechless about what I've seen, you both
did a great job!"
Aled Haydn Jones was a gracious loser and said "She deserves it, she has
been brilliant all the way through."
|
|
"Without
this beautiful team behind me I would never have done it!" said a highly
excited Ninia about her Celebrity Trainee colleagues. "It was all in the
rock and hair! Rock and hair!! That's all I want to say!"
Beverly C who presented the award to Ninia, said "They both deserve a
prize for being up on stage; it was a very difficult decision. Both finalists
had different strengths; the final look of the haircut was what gave you
the edge, Ninia."

Tina
Kite had her hair "styled?" by Lil' Chris and must win the prize as the
unhappiest customer of the Celebrity Hairdresser Academy!! Perhaps next
year, the programme should be renamed "I'm A Customer - Get Me Out Of
Here!!"
