Tips: At the top of
every page is a search box (After the word FIND) Click FIND to go to this
page or enter your search word(s) in the box and then choose where you want to
search by clicking in the button besides the area. (The dot will move to button
you have selected)Then click on the arrow
to start your search
If you want to find a salon near to you or where you are going
on holiday etc. then simply type in the name of the town that you wish to search.
For a wider area of search type in the county or a post code. You can cover your
local area by typing in the first two letters of the post code i.e. PR will show
all post codes that begin with PR, PR8 will show all post codes that start with
PR8 and so on, If you know the name of the salon you can enter that (or the letters
that you know) in the box marked SALON NAME. You do not need to enter all
the letters but you must spell anything that you type in correctly. Tony
and GUY entered into the search box would not display the Toni & Guy
salons because Tony is spelt differently and the text contains the word and
instead of &. If you were to type in Toni or Guy
then all the Toni & Guy salons would be displayed aswell as any other salon
which contained these letters in the same order. The resulting page will display
all the salons found matching your search word(s).The total number of salons found
will be displayed at in the main box and below will display those salons 10 at
a time.(Click DISPLAY ALL to show all the salons on one page).If
there are more than 10 salons found then the groups of 10 will be displayed by
GO TO RECORDS: If you hold you mouse over these sets then the display
will show the first two letters of the the first salons name and the first two
letters of the last salons name for each set. (i.e. Aa-Gi and Go-Za).Clicking
on these sets will display the salons for that set. You can rearrange your list
by clicking on the options by ORDER BY:.Clicking on order
by town will arrange the salons found in alphabetical order of town. Clicking
on Postal area will arrange the salons in alphabetical order of postcode and holding
the mouse above the sets will display the first two letters of the first salons
post code and the first two letters of the last salons post code for each set.
Clicking on display by salon name will revert to the default list with salons
arranging in alphabetical order of Salon name.
Each
salon found is displayed a business card containing information about the salon
such as address,Tel etc. To see where the salon is located on a map click MAP
which will open a new window with a map of the salons area and a red ring around
the salons location. If the salon has an email address then you can email them
by clicking in the Email button (This will only appear if the salon
has an email address supplied). If the salon has a website link then the WEBSITE
button will be displayed and you can visit there web site by clicking on this
button. If you wish to book an appointment or would like further details about
the salon or its services then click on the Enquiries button (If
this service is available for that salon).Click on the next button of each business
car to bring the next salon up to the top of the screen. When you reach the end
of a set of 10 then clicking the next button will go to the next page displaying
the next set of 10 salons until the list is finished.
If you want to find something on the site then type in any words that you require
to be on the displayed pages. I.e. If you wanted to find information about
hair braiding then type the words hair and a space
and then the word braid into the search. The resulting page will
display all the pages which contain the words Hair and Braid in
any order. If you wish to search for the exact phrase (i.e. Hair braiding
exactly as written) then click EXACT PHRASE ONLY on the resulting
page to redefine your search automatically. To display any of the pages simply
click on the link to the page.
If you want to find something on the internet
then follow the above procedure but choose ON THE WEB and click
on the arrow. Two pages will be displayed. One page will display all the matches
for this site and a new window will open and display all the matches for the internet.
