Terry Calvert has become a legend in British hairdressing. His successful personal achievements include the 2005/06 Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year, 2007 F.A.M.E Artistic Director, 2005 Guild of Hairdressers Award of Recognition, British Hairdressing Hall of Fame and a former British Hairdresser of the Year nominee plus he has achieved numerous group successes as the managing director and creative director of the award winning Clipso group and Addiction salon.
With six salons throughout Hertfordshire, London and most recently Brighton, the Clipso name has become synomous with creative stylists and a winning formula. Terry is also the man behind the recently launched concept salon – Addiction in Watford, which is aimed at the youth, clubbing market and in its first year of opening won the Creative Head Most Wanted salon and was nominated for two business awards at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Terry opened the first Clipso salon in Watford in the late seventies. Following personal success as both a top session stylist and an award winning hairdresser, Terry swiftly set about turning Clipso into a prolific industry name, while also expanding the salon group through franchising.
Decades later, Terry has gone from strength to strength with appearances at top hair seminars worldwide and a host of industry awards to his name. To date, Terry and his group has won an amazing 20 hair awards, including three times Eastern Hairdresser of the Year, Artistic Team of the Year twice at the prestigious British Hairdressing Award and the 2005 L’Oreal Colour Trophy Glamour Magazine award. These accolades, along with a reputation for creating home grown hairdressing talent, have firmly established Terry as a respected industry name renowned for his winning combination of technical and creative brilliance.
Terry is also a highly sort-after international platform artist and regularly presents in Europe, USA and Australia.
