Mick trained at the Steiner Signature Salon in Mayfair’s
prestigious Grosvenor St. some 25 years ago. After completing a
fast track apprenticeship he then went onto manage the Steiner
Salon in Topshop Oxford Circus. It was here that he and his team
showcased much of their then "Avant Garde" work to compliment the
forward moving High Street Brand that is so very popular today.
Years later, he moved to partner in his own salon in London’s
trendy Fitzrovia (Noho). The salon had an unrivalled presence
amongst London’s top media companies.
This led to much film and television technical work.
After an exhaustive career in management, Mick moved into the
"intellectual property" side of hairdressing. A director in a
company that licensed IP relevant to the hair and beauty industry.
This position led to extensive travel in the US and Far East. On
these travels a wealth of knowledge relating to international
hairdressing practices was learnt - giving a truly global
perspective to the art of the practising hair stylist.
The time came for Mick to return 100% to the path of a commercial
hairstylist (specialising in cutting and colouring)...to practice
the trade he so very much loves. This passion and desire leads him
to his current location at Atherton Cox in the heart of fashionable
Marylebone.
Teaching has always been a large part of his career and is able to
translate hairdressing practices to the client in layman’s terms to
enable them to get the professional look at home. A strict believer
in aftercare, he has embraced a philosophy of sharing all his
knowledge with his vast and loyal clientele.
His latest appointment is that ofInternational Education Director
for Keratin Revolution (100% formaldehyde/aldehyde and urea free
hair smoothing system). See Educational DVD
A wealth of experience has culminated in Mick being prevalent on
the "International Show and Photo-shoot platform."
