Darren Webster is the joint owner of luxurious London salon Webster Whiteman.
Over his twenty-year career, the London Hairdresser of the Year 2005 Finalist
has earned himself an enviable list of achievements.
After training at the prestigious Steiner salon chain in his hometown of Leeds and travelling the globe as a hairdresser on the QE2, Darren moved down to the bright lights of London to develop his salon skills and pursue his passion for session styling. Fuelled with a healthy dose of determination, dedication and drive, Darren quickly rose up through the ranks. Whilst working as a manager for Cobella’s flagship Mayfair branch and travelling internationally with the salons’ Artistic team, Darren’s phenomenal work became increasingly recognised and demands for his styling came flooding in. From designing the hair for couture shows as part of London Fashion Week, creating the looks on TV programmes such as Top of the Pops to colouring and styling for Pantene and Herbal Essences advertising commercials, Darren Webster’s talents have catapulted him onto the runway to session success. Despite successfully managing one of the capital’s hottest salons, it was time for Darren to spread his wings. Keen to create a relaxing environment which embodied the warm feeling of home, Darren joined forces with Lisa Whiteman and set up Webster Whiteman in 2003. Four years on, the concept for the salon has proved incredibly popular. Inspired by everything from fashion trends to furniture, Darren’s specialist skills have won him a large and loyal clientele who adore his first-class finishing and commitment to service. Whether it’s a celebrity client or full-time mum who’s sitting in his chair, Darren gives everyone the same five-star treatment and loves encouraging people to keep their individual image looking fresh by trying something new. Not one to rest on his laurels, success makes Darren hungry to achieve more. Whilst he recognises that reaching the finals of both the British Hairdressing Awards and British Hairdressing Business Awards are tremendous accolades, Darren’s dream is to win. And with preparations for the 2008 entries already underway, his boundless enthusiasm and remarkable skills mean that achieving this illustrious goal is only a matter of time. |
