I have a colour problem, I have been dying my hair for years the last hairdresser used to dye my hair a lovely colour then she changed her colour range. My hair is now a horrible amber colour. I recently went to another hairdresser and she asked me what colour I wanted my hair she showed me a colour chart and I picked a reddy brown colour. It’s still brassy what can you suggest I do? Should I get it stripped or will it take the entire colour out?

If you strip your hair it will take all the old colour out but personally I don't feel that would be the best way to go because, when you strip your hair or remove colour it would generally be lifted to a yellow/orange giving you that brassy colour again, then a new colour is deposited and unfortunately when hair has been lifted like that it will fade exposing the brassy lifted level underneath until the old stripped hair color has grown out. I would suggest you consider going darker that will help control the underlying pigment and eventually as your hair grows and the new colour is deposited your problem should go away. Your hair colourist will be able to help you with this situation and tell you what they feel the correct approach has really you have to see the hair to give the correct diagnosis.
