Sorry to hear you are unhappy with your new colour - it has happened to us all at some point. All is not lost if you have not had your hair dyed with a henna-based dye. If you have just used a shop-bought brand then you can simply re-dye your hair using the colour you require. It will greatly help if you can use a clarifying shampoo several times before you re-colour to take out as much of the previous colour as possible, but remember to use a really good conditioner afterwards as it does tend to strip the hair. You will probably find that the colour may still be slightly darker than you would like unless you go for a shade that contains a pre-lightener (Recital do a variety of these) in which case you can lighten it considerably. Do not forget that colour always fades in around 6 weeks anyway - even permanent colours - so if you do not want to re-apply dye, persevere with the clarifying shampoo but keep an eye on the condition. Hope this helps
