Why is my hair not growing? I use straighteners but I do not use them all the time.

I have news for you. Almost every persons hair grows every day on any part of their body. All at different paces, some fine, some thick etc. It would seem like you are very focused on your hair each day and looking for visible signs of additional length. It takes approximately 6 weeks for your hair to grow between 1 cm – 2 cm so any visible difference will take at least 6-9 months.

Using straighteners every day without proper protection can also damage the outer hair shaft which might slow down the growing process. It will usually take about 6 months for you to see any real difference.
