1

Section hair as illustrated. Starting with your bottom section, pull the hair outwards on a angle using your two guide points, which are your bottom length and the top of your section that you are holding, cut the hair in between. Repeat this around the remaining hair, until your hair is equally layered.
2

Section hair as illustrated. Always section your hair neatly using section clips. Pull out your section. You want to obtain a textured look; therefore, you cut into the straight line you cut earlier, only cutting the edges. Take care not to cut chunks out of your hair, your aim is to add movement and interest. You will obtain this by taking your scissors, keeping your thumb straight and moving your finger.
3

Using 1" sections pull out your section using tight tension. Cut down wards taking the weight from the bottom of your hair. Repeat around your head using the same method using your 1st section, cut, as your guideline.
4

Section your hair in a centre parting. Take a small section of hair using your guideline you cut earlier in illustration (1) pull down the hair using a tight tension and cut on an angle, depending on how angled you want your style to look. Repeat, using this first section as your guideline. Repeat on the other side until all the perimiter of your hair is equally cut on both sides.
5

Using the same method shown in illustration (2) Chip into your straight ends to obtain a more moveable textured look.

Style the finished cut using firm hold styling wax, after blowdrying.
