Textural Glamour

by TERESA MCGAHA @ Moutons Salon

1. The inspiration behind the look?
For this look I was inspired to create a finished look that still had an easy unfinished feel to it.

2. Does it have dress down/dress up options?
Indeed, I would say the style pictured works for a dressier occasion. To dress down I would tuck the sides in for tighter sides and carry the centre up for a fuller/taller, casual look.

3. Which hair types does it work for? i.e. fine/thick, etc
This style was done with medium hair. Thicker hair would not give you as much texture where finer hair could achieve much more texture.

4. High or low maintenance?
I would consider this style to be low maintenance once you have your foundational products you could wear this style 2-3 days just running your fingers through to reshape.

5. What face shapes best suit this style?
Softer facial structures would be ideal for this style. Anything too angular or linear wouldn’t compliment this style as well.

6. Any important blow dry/styling tips?
For this look blow dry the hair at a 90 degree angle to create volume with mouse and round curling iron also at a 90 degree angle from the head.

7. Best products for the style and colour?
I like to use a good bodifying mouse with a dry workable hairspray. For this style I used Mouse Bouffant from Kerastase as well as the Kerastase Laque Dentelle, which is a dry workable spray. Using a light spray that is not heavy and remains flexible so you can wear 2-3 days with out restyling.
